National Electric Gate designed the King Pin with the maintainer in mind. The King Pin has a feature that helps the maintainer maintain the gate with ease and do it safely.

1. By putting the Flange Nut on the threaded screw on the bottom of the King Pin and then removing the sheer pins, the maintainer can swing the gate away from the dangers associated with standing in the middle of the street.
2. The King Pin also relieves some lifting issues when it comes to longer, heavier gates. When maintaining the gate, because of the swing feature, the maintainer does not need to completely dismount the gate to maintenance it.
